Special Events
The Ark has a committee of volunteer parents called Special Events. This group helps
organize current events and celebrations as well as bringing in new activities to enrich
the program for the children.

Christmas Party
|
Some of our longstanding annual events are:
-
Holiday Parties:
Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Valentines Day…
-
Pony Pics:
Every April, Lil' Buckaroos brings ponies out to give rides to all the children.
They bring cowboy/girl clothes to dress up in and take pictures of each child. The
activity is free and the pics are reasonable with no pressure.
-
Graduation/Birthday Celebration:
The biggest celebration of the year. All our Older Preschoolers don their caps
& gowns and receive their diplomas. All the classes give some kind of
performance and a huge BBQ potluck is enjoyed by all.
-
Open House:
Held in the Fall to give parents the opportunity to meet other parents in their
child's class, meet all the teachers, the members of the Ark Board, ask teacher
questions and socialize.
Some new additions are:
-
German Class:
Hildegard Schmidt teaches the 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds basic German every Monday
morning.
-
Community:
D.A.R.E., Fire Dept. and other community agencies visit.
-
Tumbling Tots:
Offered to Ducklings and older kids once a week for $20 per month.
Coach Jennifer comes in and does a fantastic job with the kids.
Also we have: Field Trips all year, and Chapel each week.
